Talbot Co. house fire ruled accidental

CORDOVA, Md. – Fire officials have determined that a Talbot County house fire was accidental.

At around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to 31113 Willis Street in Cordova for a reported fire in a single-family home. The fire was quickly brought under control.

State fire marshals responded to investigate the blaze, which began in a second floor bedroom and was caused by an electrical malfunction. Total damage has been estimated at $20,000.
