Milton’s Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird Festival returns
MILTON, Del., – In Milton some fun is making its return to the area.
It’s the Horseshoe Crab and Shorebird Festival. The free event will allow residents and visitors to shop with local vendors, see Milton’s beauty, and learn. Of course that’s about the horshoe crab, who around this time of year spawns on the Delaware Bay, which marks the beginning of Milton. There will also be bouncy houses for kids and a train that can take you all throughout the festival.
But organizers tell us this time around you can expect some changes:”we’re going to host the festival in the grassy lawn next to the historical society, and we’ve also expanded it – we had once before taken place in the Milton Memorial Park, so we’re taking it back over there too and we’re going to have vendors, food trucks. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Karen Falk, Executive Director of the Milton Chamber of Commerce.
There will be a new free shuttle to take you from the parking lot to the festival. The festival will take place may 27th.
