Georgetown pallet homes hiring

GEORGETOWN, Del. – The pallet homes have been open for about 3 months now seeing good results.

Executive Director Judson Malone says they’ve seen many people move onto permanent housing. Now their occupancy is slowing as the warmer months settle in, but he says the people living there are durable and will be ready to take on the summer heat in the air-conditioned units.

However, there is a way you can help out: “We need, we still have some staff positions we’re trying to fill. We have shelter coordinators whose main job is to monitor the grounds, do wellness checks with people, make sure they’re okay, we need people for 24 hours a day,” Executive Director, Judson Malone of Springboard Collective said.

Malone says the pallet homes are currently full, however, they are still trying to get their community center off the ground, so they are looking into funding to start that project.
