WiHi completes sweep of Queen Anne’s, wins 2A region crown

SALISBURY, Md. – WiHi added another 2A region championship to their trophy case Thursday night at the Wallerdome. The Tribe defeating Queen Anne’s for the third time this season, 55-44, to advance to the 2A state quarterfinals.

WiHi’s defense smothered the Lions in the paint in the first half, leading to a 27-13 halftime advantage.

The Lions trimmed the WiHi lead to single digits multiple times in the final minutes, but the Tribe were never truly threatened.

Antwan Wilson scored 22 points to lead WiHi, while Malique Leatherbury added 15.

Jai Roy led Queen Anne’s with 13 points.
