Upcoming transition fair provides students with tools to prepare them for life after high school
KENT COUNTY, Del.- School districts across Kent County are teaming up for an event looking to provide families and students resources for life after high school.
They’re hosting the 4th annual Kent County Transition Fair.
Several state and local organizations will be present in the areas of education, workforce training, mental health, and more.
As students begin to prepare for adulthood, organizers tell 47ABC the goal of the event is to lend a helping hand in that process. “It’s about the participation and to support their children through this process so they can be successful citizens within their community,” Lake Forest School District’s Jodi Farrington said.
Attendees will also have a chance at several door prizes.
That event will be this Wednesday, March 29th at Lake Forest High School from 4-6p.m.
