Painting project to begin on Sharptown Rd. bridge March 20th
SHARPTOWN, Md. – MDOT’s State Highway Administration will begin a project to claim and paint the MD 313 (Sharptown Road) bridge over the Nanticoke River in Sharptown on Monday, March 20th.
Starting on Monday, motorists can expect single-lane closures and a flagging operation from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Lane widths will be approximately 13 feet across the structure, so wide load vehicles including some agricultural equipment may not be able to cross the bridge while the work is taking place. Wide loads will be able to cross before or after the work times.
Officials say the project is expected to be complete in mid-May, weather permitting.
