Fire investigation underway in Denton

DENTON, Md. – An investigation is underway following a fire at a Denton apartment complex’s maintenance building.

We’re told the fire was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday, involved a laundry mat/maintenance building and dumpster at the Riverview Garden Apartments. Firefighters were able to control the blaze in 20 minutes.

State fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $50,000 in damages.
