Delaware joins the Equity in Infrastructure Project

DELAWARE – The Department of Transportation is opening up the door for minority business owners.

With the new Equity In Infrastructure project, local small-owned businesses will be able to do business with the department. DelDOT Director of Communications, C.R. McCleod says they are working on being more inclusive and educating the public. The department will be spending over 4 billion dollars over the next 6 years on transportation projects.

They want to make sure as many businesses as possible are able to compete for the contracts. “We have a number of things on our pipeline coming this year, we’re going to have a quarterly webinar series, disadvantage business enterprises webinar, and academy where we’re going to be working to educate and inform business owners about doing business with the Department of Transportation,” says McLeod.

He says this is a great opportunity for businesses to grow. For more information about the project click here.
