HARRINGTON, Del. – A Harrington man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop late Saturday night.

Delaware State Police say around 11:40 p.m., a trooper saw a Honda Civic speeding southbound on Coverdale Road, near Mill Park Drive. The trooper pulled the vehicle over, and identified the driver as 29-year-old Colby Camper. Camper did not have his license on him, and appeared “very nervous”, say police.

The trooper learned that Camper had just purchased drugs and had a gun inside the car. Camper was arrested without incident. A search of his vehicle revealed a concealed handgun, 9 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, say police.

Camper is charged with possession of a firearm while possession a controlled substance, and carrying a concealed firearm. He is also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and multiple traffic offenses. Camper was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #3, and taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $15,300 secured bond.
