WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Delaware man has been sentenced to three years in prison for his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots.

53-year-old Kevin Seefried allegedly tearfully apologized for his participation in the riot, saying, “I never wanted to send a message of hate”.

Seefried and his 24-year-old son Hunter stormed the Capitol together after attending the “Stop the Steal” rally. Kevin was photographed holding a Confederate flag inside the building, and both were part of a larger group who chased U.S. Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman and verbally confronted several U.S. Capitol Police officers near the entrance to the Senate Chambers.

Hunter Seefried was sentenced to two years in prison back in October.
