Community Inspired Action Holds Christmas Gift Giveaway

Christmas Gifts For Children

SELBYVILLE, Del.- Community Inspired Action in Selbyville brought cheer and joy to over  150 children in the area.

The organization works to provide after-school programming, supplies tutoring, and more for area schools, but this holiday season they are working to make sure students who registered with them could know that there are those out there who care about them.
This year they opened up the registry to kids throughout Sussex county, and they say 8,000 dollars and several donations later, the event is all set to help spread that holiday cheer.

Executive Director Ketanaya Moore tells 4us that her favorite part is seeing the reactions from the children.

“When I see all of the kids come in gathered around so happy going to get gifts that give me the most joy I do like seething them taking pictures and seeing them smile because a gift actually has their name and its not one gift its 3 or 4 presents,” she said.

They say the event is set to begin at 5:30 tonight and they hope to be able to have even more students participate next year. They say they are proud to have had an open register for kids from all over Sussex County.
