Shore Gives More raises $290,466 as part of Giving Tuesday

SALISBURY, Md- The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore is announcing that 290,466 dollars were raised during the 24-hour window by over 100 local nonprofits as part of the Shore Gives More Giving Tuesday event.
Organizers say they had hoped to crack their record and bring the total number up to 300,000 dollars this year,

but they say while the event only matched their record, it was the individual organizations who saw record-breaking donations.

“It is one big campaign but every organization participating is running their own they get matching donations they are encouraging people to come out with donors individually so it shows they embracing it and working hard to reach out to the community each year,” said Community Foundation President Erica Joseph. 

The campaign has raised $1.5 million for Lower Shore nonprofits since its inception in 2015.
