Dover man arrested after being found in possession of handgun, heroin
DOVER, Del. – A Dover man is facing multiple charges after being found in possession of a weapon and drugs.
Thursday afternoon, Dover Police Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole executed an administrative search at the home of 22-year-old Daquan Watson. Inside the home on Gristmill Drive, police found a handgun, and 17 bags of heroin.
Watson was arrested without incident, and taken to be arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #2. He was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $30,200 cash bail. Watson is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, and possession of a counterfeit controlled substance.
