Salisbury Pridewalk repainted

SALISBURY, Md-  Salisbury’s rainbow crosswalk got a fresh coat of paint Sunday, thanks to Salisbury PFLAG and members of the community.

The Pride Crosswalk includes the classic pride flag, the progress pride flag, and the transgender pride flag. The repainting also featured music games community resources, and drag performances.

Mark Delancey of Salisbury PFLAG tells us, there is still no street like it in Maryland.

“This is still the only rainbow crosswalk in Maryland so we are happy to not just keep revitalizing it, but to make sure there is a message to the community to the government that we are equal,” Delancey said.

Delancey adds he was thrilled with today’s turnout and hopes to see another rainbow crosswalk pop up in Maryland sometime soon.
