President Joe Biden at DSU addressing student debt relief
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State University had a special visitor on campus today.
President Joe Biden spoke on student debt relief, where the HBCU’s students tell 47 ABC this is a great opportunity to help achieve their education goals.
President Joe Biden says it will help one of the most optimistic generations. “Our student loan plan lowers costs for Americans as they recover from the pandemic to give everybody a little more breathing room,” says the Joe Biden, the President of the United States.
However, Republic opponents are against this student debt relief program. “The republican members of Congress and Governors are doing everything they can do to deny this relief, even to their own constituents, as soon as I announced my plan on student debt they started attacking it, saying all kinds of things their outrage is wrong and it’s hypocritical,” says President Biden.
But that’s not stopping President Joe Biden from providing this relief, he says it’s simple: “Fill out – its very easy. Your name, social security number and date of birth, and contact information,” says the President.
In fact, DSU students tell me this is a great opportunity. “I feel a lot relieved about it to be honest with you, with the student loan relief program. “It’s really beneficial for us because we’re already putting our hard worked money into getting a degree so having that relief program is going to release a lot of burden for us,” says Asia Mosley, a Delaware State University senior. “It definitely is like a good feeling because me myself, personally I’m basically paying for school myself and with him coming here it kind of elaborates more on the whole process,” says Raychel Ringold, a Delaware State University student.
Thats not all, President Joe Biden says he still has more work to do, as he plans to get Roe V. Wade codified. President Biden has made his commitment not to forget the middle class.
