Md. Office of State Fire Marshal investigating possible arson in Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – The Maryland Office the State Fire Marshal is investigating a possible arson on West Main Street in Crisfield.

Investigators say the fire broke out around 1:22 a.m. on October 9th. A passerby called the fire in. When fire crews arrived, they found a vacant, three story single family home on fire. It took 20 firefighters about 30 minutes to get the fire under control, according to investigators. The fire caused about $30,000 in damage, according the State Fire Marshal.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office believes the fire was intentionally set. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lower Eastern Region Office of the State Fire Marshal at (410) 713-3780.
