Lions get back in the win column after taking down Decatur

CENTREVILLE, Md.– Queen Anne’s defeated Decatur in a final score of 46-28 on Friday night.

Decatur would march right down the field on their first drive of the game with a rushing TD by Nathan Tapley. Queen Anne’s would bite right back with a rushing TD by Kj Smothers to tie it up at 7-7.

Decatur would kick a field to make it a 3 point game but Smothers would run it up the gun for 14-10 lead going into halftime. Ashton Siwald would explode right out of the gate in the 3rd to make it a 21-13 game for the Lions.

QA would knock a field goal through to make it 24-13 but Luke Mergott would return a kick for a TD to make it 24-21. Kj would go for his 3rd rushing TD late in the 3rd to make it 31-21.

Brycen Coleman would make the shift to QB late in the game and would connect with Trybe Wise in the corner of the end zone to make it 31-28. QA would put the game out of reach with a pair of rushing TD’s from Smothers and Siwald.
