Lower Shore Clinic, Inc. to receive $1 million DHSS grant

SALISBURY, Md. – The Department of Health and Human Services has announced a Congressional Mental Health & Substance Abuse Service Grant to the Lower Shhore Clinic, Inc., in Salisbury.

We’re told the $1 million grant will go towards the clinic’s goal of expanding its service provision as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center.

“As a physician, I am very pleased to hear that the Department of Health and Human Services is awarding the Lower Shore Clinic with this sizable grant. For decades, the Lower Shore Clinic has provided effective and highly accessible healthcare to Eastern Shore residents. This grant will allow them not only to continue their important work, but also to expand the services they offer. This investment in interventions for substance abuse and mental health comes at a pivotal time and I look forward to seeing this money put to good use,” said Congressman Andy Harris in a statement.
