Washington High School Welcomes New Principal

PRINCESS ANNE, Md-  Washington High school in Princess Anne is welcoming a new principal ahead of the new school year.

Tony  Bevilacqua was the former Principal at Crisfield Academy & High School during the 2020-2021 school year before coming to the Somerset Board of Education.
Bevilacqua tells us he loved those roles but is grateful for the transition to be more involved with students.
He says his focus isn’t just on graduation but on making sure students have the most options when they look to graduate, a role he says he is much more involved in as a principal.

“That’s been my mission is to make sure kids arent just graduation but have those options in college, or trade schools or military and to have that process be made clear to them because I remember before college for me it wasn’t,” he said.

He tells us he is looking forward to the role and wants to foster the kind of ideal school environment that leads to great future success.
