OCEAN CITY, Md. – A fire broke out at Union Chesapeake Seafood House on Saturday afternoon. Ocean City Fire Department (OCFD) officials say around 4:54 p.m., firefighters responded to the restaurant at 2004 Philadelphia Avenue for a reported structure fire.

When units arrived, they found smoke and fire on the roof of the three-story structure. Firefighters battled the flames from the roof, and were eventually able to put out the fire. They also used chainsaws to cut part of the roof to prevent the flames from spreading. Fire damage was contained to the area of origin, according to OCFD.

The fire was ruled accidental by the Office of the Fire Marshal, citing an electrical issue. No injuries were reported.
