Biden sees polling surge, with momentum that could carry to midterms

Joe Biden

NATIONAL NEWS- President Joe Biden is polling at 44 percent for the first time this year, following a 6 percent jump from 38 percent in July.

They say a combination of legislative wins and the cancellation of student debt are responsible but the question on democrat’s minds, remains; can this bump hold and boost their candidates in the upcoming midterms.

That would buck a trend of incumbent parties losing the midterms to the opposition party.

The last time an incumbent party held seats during a midterm was in 2002.

Political Science Professor at Delaware State University Sam Hoff tells us he is predicting the sentiment will carry some victories for democrats- especially in key senate races that will determine which party will secure the majority.

“I am predicting a split party control after 2022 with the senate held by the democrats to look at the important races in those 5 states Pennsylvania Ohio and Arizona and Georgia and right now those candidates are winning in all 5,” Hoff said.

He tells us another factor, is the lack of strong support from the republican national committee-which cannot decide if they want to fund Trump-backed candidates, and with their money largely out of some key races- it could give democrats a path to split control of congress next year.
