Voting tips to keep in mind ahead of Maryland Primary Election Tuesday

MARYLAND – We’re just days away from the 2022 Maryland Gubernatorial Election and officials have some tips for you as you go to cast your vote.

The Maryland State Board of Elections says the most important thing to remember Tuesday is knowing where to vote.

We’re told you should vote at the polling place that’s assigned to your address.

Officials also say they’re seeing a record-setting high in mail-in ballots and want you to keep this in mind if you choose that option.

“If you have a mail-in ballot that you haven’t returned yet now is the time to do that. You can put it in the mail, it just has to be postmarked on or before July 19th. You can also drop it off at any of the ballot boxes in your county. Those will be open 24/7 until 8 p.m. on July 19th,” said Maryland State Board of Elections Deputy Administrator Nikki Charlson.

Primary election day is this Tuesday, July 19th and polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
