Delmarva Sports History: The Negro Leagues

SALISBURY, Md. – When you walk into Perdue Stadium you might notice the Eastern Shore Baseball Museum as you walk through the gates.

The museum is a collection of artifacts, statistics, photos, jerseys, and more from Delmarva baseball history.

There is a corner of the museum dedicated to the Negro Leagues. Those players who were barred from competing in the Eastern Shore Leagues. Not because of the quality of their play, but the complexion of their skin.
