Shooting leaves one critically injured in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that left one critically injured Thursday night.

Police say they responded to the 100 block of South New Street shortly before 10 p.m. for a report of shots fired. On arrival, they found a 20-year-old male victim laying in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers began first aid until medics arrived and took the victim to Bayhealth Kent Campus.

We’re told the victim was hit a total of eight times by gunfire with injuries to his upper extremities and torso. The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
