Annual grant to help nonprofits stay protected online
DELAWARE – Nonprofit organizations in the first state are seeing some funds to prevent potential terrorist attacks on their internet use.
The funds come from the Nonprofit Security Grant program, which will provide funding for physical and cyber security improvements. Mark Dworkin, a planner at the Delaware Emergency Management Agency for some tips on how to keep your internet use protected.
“It’s just a matter of learning, tighter security passwords, being able to have a closed in server access, basically what’s recommended through DEMA,” says Mark Dworkin.
If you want to make sure your internet use is protected, you can take a self-assessment on their website. The grant for this year is closed, however, officials say it can become very popular so keep your eyes open for the next application opening.
