Dover woman shot in leg

DOVER, Del.- The Dover Police department is investigating a Saturday morning shooting that left a 27-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police responded to the area of S. Governors Avenue and Loockerman Street for a call of shots fired around 1:23 am. When officers arrived at the scene they found the woman with a gunshot wound, before calling for transport to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say shell casings were found in the area of the S.Governors Avenue and Minor Street alley. According to Dover Police, witnesses saw two black male subjects in an argument in the moments leading up to the shooting.
