W. Ocean City blaze heavily damages home
WEST OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Fire Department (OCFD) worked Tuesday morning to put out a blaze that heavily damaged a home.
OCFD says around 10:29 a.m., units were dispatched to the 12000 block of Old Bridge Road for a reported house fire. Assistant Chief Moe Cropper was first on scene, and confirmed a working fire. As the first engines arrived, OCFD says firefighters ran into the house, searching for anyone inside. The fire was eventually put out, and no injuries were reported.
The origin and cause of the fire was investigated by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office. Investigators ruled the blaze an electrical fire. Berlin Fire Company also assisted with on-scene operations.
