One arrested, second suspect wanted in burglary investigation
DOVER, Del. – One suspect has been arrested and another is at large following a burglary investigation in Dover.
We’re told the investigation began at around 6 a.m. Wednesday, when troopers responded to the Ernest DiSabatino and Sons construction site, located on W. Big Woods Road, for a burglary complaint. Investigation revealed that two subjects had broken a lock at the front gate of the site and loaded a pickup truck with approximately $20,000 worth of copper wiring. The suspects then reportedly caused damage to surrounding equipment before leaving the area.
Detectives were able to identify the two suspects in this incident as 34-year-old Jacob Steele and 30-year-old Christian O’Leary. Warrants were obtained for both suspects, charging them with third degree burglary, theft over $1500, criminal mischief over $5000, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief.
On Thursday, O’Leary turned himself in to Troop 7, where he was arraigned and released on a $5,500 unsecured bond.
