Maryland State Police investigating early morning Cambridge homicide

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating the apparent murder of a man found shot to death early Sunday morning. Police say 20-year-old A’Corie Young of Cambridge was identified as the victim.

Around 3:00 a.m., Cambridge Police were calling to the 800 block of Fairmount Drive. When officers arrived, they found Young suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit were called to the scene shortly after.

State Police are currently conducting neighborhood canvassing efforts and interviewing potential witnesses. Police say they do not believe this was a random act of violence, and there is no threat to the public at this time.
