Frankford man facing numerous charges after search reveals large amounts of drugs

MILLSBORO, Del. – A Frankford man is facing numerous charges after a traffic stop revealed drugs on Sunday afternoon.

Delaware State Police say around 3:04 p.m. on April 24th, a trooper on patrol in Millsboro spotted a motorcycle stopped on the side of the Cannon Road, near Devon Road. The motorcycle did not have a registration plate displayed, and the operator was standing on the roadside. The trooper tried to contact the individual, but police say he tried to ride away on the motorcycle, then run.

After a foot chase, police arrested the operator, identified as 26-year-old Devon McCray. A search of McCray’s person revealed 1.743 grams of suspected heroin, and about 12.22 grams of cocaine. McCray was taken to Troop 4. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and numerous traffic charges. McCray was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court #3, and released on $31,350 unsecured bond.
