Former Cambridge Mayor pleads guilty to five counts of distributing revenge porn

CAMBRIDGE, Md — Former Mayor of Cambridge, Andrew Bradshaw pleaded guilty to five counts of distributing revenge porn Monday.

The Maryland State Prosecutor Charlton T. Howard III announced today that Bradshaw made the plea in the Circuit Court for Dorchester County, which is in violation of Maryland’s Revenge Porn Statue. Bradshaw was sentenced to 1 year and 1 day of incarceration, all suspended, 3 years’ supervised probation and a $1,000 fine per count by Judge Thomas Ross.  In total that is 5 years and 5 days of incarceration, all suspended, 3 years’ supervised probation, and fines totaling $5,000.  Bradshaw has also been ordered to comply with other special conditions of probation, including paying restitution to the victim in the amount of $750 and completing 100 hours of community service.

47ABC spoke with Bradshaw’s attorney, who says he is happy with the judge’s decision and that Bradshaw apologized to the victim and others.

“He [Andrew Bradshaw] apologized to the voters as well, and I know that he personally is disappointed in himself, but I have every confidence in the world that he will successfully complete probation and that he does have a bright future ahead of him,” Attorney William R. Hall ensures.

According to the Statement of Facts with the plea, a female victim, identified as “Victim 1” reported to police that she found nude photos of herself posted to Reddit.com. The victim told law enforcement, that she only sent the photos to one person, Andrew Bradshaw. Victim 1 says the photos were posted without her knowledge or consent.  She also says the images were sent to Bradshaw during a romantic relationship with him, that has since ended.
