DPH launches a COVID-19 treatment program for Delawarean’s
DOVER, Del. — The Delaware Division of Public Health announced the launch of their COVID-19 Test-to-Treat program for the first state.
This is a part of the federal initiative to provide testing and treatment options combined in one location. Test-to-Treat locations are designed to be a one-stop shop for individuals seeking diagnosis and treatment within 5 days of showing symptoms.
Officials say the program works like this:
- If you have symptoms, locate a test-to-treat site and follow the facility’s directions for scheduling an appointment.
- At the site, you will receive a rapid COVID-19 test.
- If you test positive, you will meet with an on-site health care provider to discuss treatment options.
- If it is determined the best fit for you, a health provider will give you medication to take home.
