A Salisbury High School Graduates’ opportunity of a lifetime
SALISBURY, Md. – Bennett High School grad Jay Copeland will make his debut appearance on American Idol Monday night.
Copeland originally thought it was a scam when he learned he’d be on the legendary singing competition, but it turned out to be a dream come true. Many on Delmarva will remember Copeland from his strong performance in Bennett High’s Rock and Roll Revival. But now, Copeland will be taking a much bigger stage!
“It means a lot coming from Salisbury, it’s taught me it doesn’t matter where you come from. Opportunities and blessings can come from anywhere no matter how big or small, Copeland tells 47ABC.
And he encourages other students to keep the faith if they have dreams to make it big too.
“If you do get discouraged, I know where my help comes from I look to the Lord, so whatever you believe in, if it’s friends, God, if it’s your parents go to them because it can be rough in this field, Copeland says.
Tune in to the show tonight on 47ABC at 8 p.m. to check out Jay!
