Random Acts of Kindness Week bringing smiles to community

SALISBURY, Md. – This week, you’re encouraged to pay for the person behind you in a drive-through line, write a note to a friend, or just spread kindness. That’s because it’s random acts of kindness week.

Grace Foxwell Murdock is the Secretary of Kindness in Salisbury, so she’s no stranger to spreading joy. She says the week is all about giving, receiving, and witnessing kindness and uplifting people throughout the entire week. If you’re not sure where to start, or need some help brainstorming ideas on how to spread smiles, Grace says Kind SBY can help.

“Kind SBY created an entire list for the week of activities you can do to share a random act. Now we say random, we’ve planned them, but the person is random who receives them,” Grace said.

February 17th is actually Random Acts of Kindness Day, so of course Grace has some ideas up her sleeve of how to celebrate. She says stay tuned to Kind SBY’s social media to see how you can get involved.
