Local Sports Bars Prep for Super Bowl Crowds

FRUITLAND, Md- Sports Bars are ramping up their efforts and preparing for a capacity restriction-free Super Bowl Sunday weekend. Adam’s Taphouse and Grille in Fruitland tells us, they have seen a bump in both dine-in and carry-out orders of tailgate favorites like buffalo wings since the start of the NFL post-season.

“We’ve seen 49ers fans we’ve seen people coming in and dining in for these games and we actually had one of our best weekends last weekend and that’s before the Super Bowl,” said Owner Peter Roskovich.

Roskovich tells us, last year’s Super Bowl took place during Maryland’s state of emergency order with capacity limits still restricting the number of patrons in a business at one time, he tells this year it’s back to full capacity.

“It was harder last year, it was harder to say ‘you can’t sit there’  it was uncomfortable for us as owners to ‘say get up and move you cant sit here’ so this year it is game on we are wide open,” he said.

Roskovich tell us despite a recording high price for chicken wings, his wing prices are staying the same. Bulk orders have already been coming in for carrying out for sunday. He tells us he wishes the game was earlier in the day, as games that stretch into the late evening often don’t gather as many crowds at restaurants as noon games.
