Easton man charged with DUI after running stop sign, striking vehicles
EASTON, Md. – A 25-year-old Easton man is facing multiple charges after running a stop sign and hitting three vehicles.
Easton Police say on Saturday, officers responded a crash at the intersection of Goldsborough Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. When officers arrived, they found three vehicles involved in the crash. Police say Erico Abrahan Ramirez Jimenez was driving a 2002 Toyota Rav 4 when he ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle on Goldsborough Street. Jimenez continued driving, and hit another parked vehicle on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Police say when they made contact with Jimenez, they could smell a strong odor of alcohol on him. Investigators say Jimenez was driving drunk. He was arrested, and charged with a DUI, driving while impaired, failure to stop at a stop sign, and negligent driving.
