COVID-19 clinic at First Baptist Church of Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md — In Salisbury, a local pastor, Rev. Dr. Lewis N. Watson, of the First Baptist Church of Salisbury is bringing back the 5th vaccination clinic at his church.

Having had COVID-19 himself, he tells 47 ABC it’s not worth the breathing tubes, the hospitalization, and not being able to see your family. Pastor Watson says he’s been there when a lot of his friends passed away and he doesn’t want anyone else to go through that. He says the virus is something we’ve never seen before impacting everyone, especially poverty-stricken neighborhoods, however, if you can just get vaccinated.

“I would just encourage anybody to do what you can to keep yourself safe and your family safe if you love your family, friends, you take the vaccination,” he encourages.

The clinic will be held at First Baptist Church of Salisbury at 528 Booth Street from 12 noon to 4 pm. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson Johnson will all be available. Pastor Watson says take the virus more serious. He also understands this is something we’ve never seen before, however; he encourages those with a platform to speak boldly about the virus and encourage people to get vaccinated.

“It’s better for you to wear a mask then for you to have a mask on in a hospital cause your trying to catch your breath,” he concludes.
