Water bottle drive to help Kentucky residents

MARYLAND – Across Delmarva, residents have been donating water to #C4K, Care for Kentucky.

Recently, Kentucky was one of the 8 states hit by massive tornadoes. Many families were left devastated and are receiving help from across the world to get residents back on their feet. The initiative is working with #50KSouls and the YMCA, along with other organizations to donate water to families.

Mandel Copeland of #50KSouls tells 47ABC that they are happy to be a part of this opportunity.

“When we get to Kentucky, our biggest desire is to allow those families and individuals who have lost everything know that they are not forgotten in this world during one of the most critical times in their lives.” Copeland tells us he is appreciative of all the donations he has received thus far.

On Sunday students from a local JV and Varsity basketball team will be coming to help pack all the water to be donated on January 3rd. If you’d like to donate water you can donate at any of the YMCA locations across the Eastern Shore until Sunday.
