UPDATE: Three arrested for Worcester Co. burglary, attempted murder incident
POCOMOKE, Md. – Worcester County detectives say they have arrested three people in connection to the burglary and attempted murder incident that took place on Friday.
We’re told 46-year-old Wendy Taylor, 45-year-old Gary Fleig, and 54-year-old Coy Bailey, all of New Church, VA, have been arrested. They have been charged with various offenses, including attempted first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, first degree arson, first and third degree burglary, use of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and theft.
Police say that during the course of this investigation, additional crimes that these individuals were involved in within Worcester County were identified. These investigations are ongoing, and charges will likely be filed in the near future. Worcester County Bureau of Investigation detectives are continuing to work with law enforcement in Accomack County to identify these individuals’ involvement in similar crimes that took place in Accomack County.
The trio are currently in custody in Accomack County, VA, awaiting extradition to Worcester County.
