Snow Hill Christmas Parade preview

SNOW HILL, Md. – Snow Hill is preparing to bring back its Christmas parade this week with a stacked lineup for those looking to come into the town.

The parade, sponsored by the Snow Hill Lions Club will start on Monday. It will start on Colbert Lane and come down Church Street before ending in front of the courthouse on Market Street.

The parade will feature fire truck floats, the Snow Hill High School band, local ROTC students, and parade floats. Over 45 entries in total will be participating and be judged by organizers on the show they put on.

Organizers tell us they are thrilled to have the parade at all after having to cancel last year.

“Last year we did not have the parade and this year we are having it and we are so excited about getting it back so it was different without it so we hope to see a big crowd this year,” said Snow Hill Christmas Parade Manager Barry Laws.”

Laws tell us local businesses will be getting into the festivities too, decorating their storefronts, as well as selling food, hot chocolates, and gifts during the parade.

He tells us it should be just over an hour long, making sure the many kids who come out to see Santa and the holiday cheer aren’t out in the cold for too long.
