ColeStrong foundation to hold cornhole event for children battling cancer

GUMBORO, Del. – The ColeStrong Foundation is gearing up for another fundraiser, their ugly sweater corn hole event.

The foundation is partnering with Millman’s Appliances and will be collecting toys and gift cards for Nemour’s Children’s Hospital 3East wing. The donations will support children who are battling childhood cancer and disease. The foundation’s president says they are really excited to give back to community members who could use a helping hand this holiday season.

“We know we’re blessed that our boy is no longer in treatment, but not all families can say the same,” says Laralyn Willey, President of the ColeStrong Foundation. She adds, “We’re here to help other families to feel that same blessing and as much as we can, do we will do.”

The ColeStrong Foundation is currently holding a toy drive as well, and you can donate a toy over at the Gumboro Fire Department.

The event will be held Sunday, December 19th at 12th at the Gumboro Fire Department.
