Worcester County Health Department to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinic for ages 5 to 11

WORCESTER CO., Md. –  The Worcester County Health Department is announcing its plan to get kids vaccinated.

They will be hosting a clinic on November 13th at the Snow Hill Health Department from 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The clinic will offer a two-for-one vaccination time slot, where kids will be able to receive both the covid and flu vaccine. They say it will give parents one less appointment to worry about.

The health department tells us they are looking at adding more dates if demand gets high.

“We right now have the one clinic it’s on the 13th here at the central health department for 5 to 11 Pfizer COVID vaccines and then for flu it will be 6 months to 17-year-olds,” said Travis Brown of the Worcester County Health Department.

Health officials say with current staffing, they could handle between 200 and 300 patients. They will be handling a mix of both walks in and timed appointments and they have roughly 75 appointments still available online.
