Two teens arrested in connection to October fatal shooting in Onancock

ONANCOCK, Va. – Police say two teenagers are facing murder charges in connection to a shooting that killed one in Accomack County last month.

The incident happened on October 13th at approximately 3:15 p.m. Police responded to the area of Johnson Street in Onancock for a vehicle accident, with further reports that gunshots had been fired in the area of the vehicle. On arrival, deputies found 23-year-old Nicholas Joseph suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Joseph was pronounced dead the following day.

A 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both of Onancock, have been charged in connection with this incident. The pair have been charged with first and second degree murder, use of a firearm while committing a robbery, robbery, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. The 17-year-old is currently being held at the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.

The 15-year-old, who remained wanted following the incident, was apprehended in Washington D.C. as of Tuesday afternoon. We’re told no other suspects are being sought in this investigation.
