Harvest Thyme Craft Festival Raises Money for Parsonsburg Fire Co.

SALISBURY, Md. – The Harvest Thyme Craft Festival returned today for its ninth year of helping to raise money for the Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Over 75 vendors were a part of the event, selling homemade goods like clothing, crafts, soaps, potted plants, and jewelry. Event organizers say this year’s event was held in a larger facility than usual, which allowed for more space, more people and more money to be raised.

“This is our ninth year and we have more vendors coming in every year and that’s great for the community you get people from all over coming to participate in it,” said event Co-Chair Marilyn Brown.

The event has always been held the week before Thanksgiving to allow people to get a head start on their Christmas shopping. Organizers and vendors say the increased amount of people at the event points to more people trying to get presents and gifts purchased early this year.

Donations to the Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company came from vendors reserving the space, with profits from the event itself going right back to those local businesses.
