Delaware State Police investigating crash that left one dead in Milford

MILFORD, Del. –  Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Sunday afternoon in Milford.

Police say just before 2:30 p.m., a 31-year-old female driving a 2016 Kia Soul was traveling southbound on Bay Road south of Old Cemetery Road. The driver reportedly hit a parked Comcast/Xfinity truck with its emergency lights flashing on the right shoulder.

The driver of the Kia Soul was pronounced dead at the scene and her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The 56-year-old Comcast truck operator was taken to Bayhealth Sussex Campus to be treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Delaware State Police.
