Police investigating fatal motorcycle crash in Dover
*UPDATE: Delaware State Police has identified the individual who died during a late Friday night fatal motorcycle accident as Abimael Medina-Diaz, 37, of Dover.

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Friday night.
Police say that around 11:20 p.m., a black Ford Fusion being driven by a 22-year-old male was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Maple Dale Road at Kenton Road. The driver was anticipating turning southbound onto Kenton Road. They say at the same time, a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a 37-year-old man was traveling northbound on Kenton Road in the area of Maple Dale Road.
Police say the driver of the Fusion pulled onto Kenton Road and began turning left when the Harley hit the left front end of the vehicle. After impact, the Fusion rotated clockwise and came to a stop. The motorcycle was flung to the northwestern direction and overturned onto its right side. Police say the motorcycle traveled along the western edge of the roadway and landed partially in the front yard of a private residence.
The 22-year-old Ford Fusion driver from Victorville, Ca., was transported to an area hospital, where he was released after suffering from minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
The 37-year-old Harley Davidson operator from Dover, Del., was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries where he died a short time later. Identification is pending notification to next of kin.
