Organizers gearing up for 75th annual Salisbury Christmas Parade
SALISBURY, Md. – — It’s almost time to get into the holiday spirit in Salisbury as organizers prepare for the annual Christmas Parade. This year, the parade is returning to downtown.
It’ll all happen on December 5th and it will be hosted by the Salisbury Jaycees. There will be local bands, first responders, elected officials, and more all ready to get into the festive spirit.
Organizers say they’re just really excited to bring the event back downtown and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the parade.
“You miss seeing people out on the streets, watching the parade and things like that, and just coming together as a community, and I think even though we went through a really hard time, the community came together pretty strongly, but it’s nice to be able to see everybody back out together again,” Jamie Nichols, with the Salisbury Jaycees, said.
In the event of rain, the parade will be held the following Sunday, December 12th.
