Mardela’s Johnson Hall of Fame bound

Warriors alum & coach selected to national honor

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md.-Getting to the “Hall of Fame” of any career profession or activity is a very special, often impossible task.

After a successful stint as a prep wrestler, college wrestler, and prep head coach–longtime Mardela wrestling head man Dion Johnson is headed to the pinnacle of his sport.

Johnson found out in early September that he would be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Johnson, along with current Stephen Decatur head coach Todd Martinek, will be recognized as a part of the 2021 Maryland Chapter.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 14th in Annapolis, Maryland. Take a look at the video above!
