Two women found driving stolen vehicle during traffic stop in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Two women are facing charges for a stolen vehicle after a traffic stop in Dover. Police say 22-year-old Rynesha Hanzer of Laurel and 25-yera-old Felice Singletary of Dover were arrested Friday night.
Around 10:54 p.m. a Delaware State Trooper conducted a traffic stop for a seatbelt and equipment violation on a black 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Hanzer was driving and Singletary was a passenger when the stop was initiated on South DuPont Highway in the area of Walnut Shade Road. Police say when they ran the car’s information, it came up as reported stolen out of Lakewood Township, New Jersey back on August 16th.
Police say Singletary also had an active capias out of Justice of the Peace Court and Kent County Family Court. Both women were arrested without incident and taken to Delaware State Police Troop 3. Hanzer was charged with receiving stolen property, second degree conspiracy, driving an unsafe motor vehicle on the highway, and operation of an unregistered motor vehicle. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on her own recognizance. Singletary is facing charges for receiving stolen property and second degree conspiracy. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #7 and released on her own recognizance. A $1,000 unsecured bond was issued for Singletary’s active capiases.
