“Ride For All First Responders:” Local group aiming to support locals during Sept. 25 riding event
EASTERN SHORE, Md.- This weekend you can give back to first responders with help from the Bikers Without Borders Foundation.
Saturday, they’re sponsoring a ride for the responders in partnership with the Iron Horse Coffee House called “Ride For All First Responders.”
We’re told several motorcycle clubs have rides dedicated to both firefighters and police.
But, the foundation knows there’s different agencies in the spectrum of first responders and public safety and they want to acknowledge that.
“Whether you’re a dispatcher a police officer, a firefighter, corrections officer, at some level they are putting their life on the line for whichever county you may reside in, so we felt it was important enough to recognize their efforts and generate some money,” James Walsh, VP of Bikers Without Boarders Foundation, said.
Registration for the event will be begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at Iron House Restaurant in Willards.
It’s $20 per bike and all proceeds go to local first responder organizations.
The foundation said they hope to keep this event going for years to come.
